New Sunday Night Ministry for Children Grades 1-6!
Sunday nights Children’s Bible Quizzing team. This is an opportunity for kids to learn to use the bible, make new friends, and compete with other children on our district. We will be going through the book of Exodus and learning about how to follow our Leader, God! Practice will be held every Sunday evening at 6-7:15pm in the fireplace room. For any questions, contact Bekka Rogers.
Wednesday Night Class - Culture Shock
"Culture Shock" — "Is it possible to articulate timeless Biblical truth without resorting to anger and argument? Is it possible to lovingly embrace those with whom we disagree with compromising our beliefs? The answer to both of these questions is a resounding YES, and Chip Ingram explains how it's all possible this timely and relevant book." —-Jim Daly, president, Focus on the Family
"How Great Thou Art" Class
Beginning in October we will host a 4-week Creative Art class for 4th and 5th graders. Class teachers, Gerri Shewmaker and Joyce Minnick, will teach students about great artists and their unique styles, and will assist students in creating their own works of art each week. Classes will be held on Tuesday: 10./7,10/14, 10/21, and 10/28 and will conclude with an Art Show on Sunday, November 2nd. There is a cost of $5 per class. Class size is limited to 6 student, so make your reservation now by contacting the church office.
Please note that our children will worship with their families in the main service next Sunday, September 28. Instead of observing Family Sunday on the first Sunday of each month, they will now observe Family Sunday on the last Sunday of each month. Note that our Pre-K and Kindergarten worship service will still be offered every Sunday of the month in the Pre-K Chapel area. This is for children who are 4-5 years old, who are potty trained, and who have not yet started first grade.
Trunk Or Treat
This year for "Trunk or Treat", we are wanting to get an early start on constructing a few games for our "Carnival City" in the gym. We are in need of someone who could construct a minor wood project. We are also in need of anyone who can sew. If you can help, we would be very greatful. Please contact Cheryl Farmer 765-635-8574 or Jill Scott 765-425-3906.
Save the Date
This year's "Come to the Fire" Women's Holiness Conference will be held Thursday, October 2 through Saturday, October 4 at the Grove City Church of the Nazarene in Grove City, Ohio. For more information, contact Pastor Sherry, or go to www.cometothefire.org
Hey Teens! If you are interested in learning more about the Word of God, Bible quizzing might be just for you. This year we will study the Book of Acts. Joining the quiz team is a fun way to learn God's Word, make new friends here at home and on the NEI district, and have a little competition. MCON quizzing practices are held every Tuesday beginning at 6:00PM. District quiz competitions are held monthly at various churches in north-eastern Indiana.
Cove hours on Tuesday and Thursday will be 3:00-6:00PM each week. On Wednesday, the Cove will be open from 3:00PM until approximately 9:00PM when the Water's Edge ministries conclude. Help us spread the word! This is a great place to meet with friends, play games, do homework, and enjoy relaxing together.
"The Tent" is an intentionally Christ-centered Community of Young Adults, transforming their lives through the call to community, discipleship, and commission. Young Adults will meet for service every Friday night at 7p.m. at Middletown Church of the Nazarene. For further information visit thetentonline.com or contact Christen Sanders.
Worship Choir rehearsals have resumed in the choir room Wednesday's at 6:30pm. This group is made up of any person—women or men—who like to sing and want to use their vocal talent to bring glory to God. We’ll sing new songs-and old fa-vorites, too. The rehearsal will last about 75 minutes and will include a devotional time of the Word, testimony, and prayer. Come be a part as we “make music to the Lord...with the sound of singing.” (Psalm 98:5)
